Grandpa Jack Meets Michael Bolton
Here’s a message my Grandpa Jack left on my voice mail a couple of years ago ranting about singer Michael Bolton after just watching him perform on Larry King Live. Jack is a retired jazz saxophonist, who’s in-home jam sessions inspired me to pursue music as a career. He KNOWS music! I always laugh hysterically, no matter how many times I listen to it. WARNING: Grandpa drops the F-bomb once during this messege.

Unicycle Girl Hijacks Radio Show
When I first embarked on a solo career, I decided to promote my music as Scorch, a nickname I picked up when I was a younger sports enthusiast. Released 2 CDs, toured regularly and made quite a few fans before I realized that my music career would be easier to market under my given name. DOH! One summer a female fan from Ohio visited San Diego and went as far as riding her unicycle for 2 miles, in rush hour traffic, to the station of the #1 morning radio show. The net result was she hijacked an hour of live airtime to promote music she believed in. So amazing and unique was her stunt that the segment was replayed throughout the rest of the year as part of the “Best of The Jeff & Jer Show”. PRICELESS! Kara, I’ll never forget you!
